Health and safety representative and safety representative are different names for the same thing. Representatives are elected by the local trade union club and we work closely together where possible. However, AMO has a duty of confidentiality regarding certain information that the employer shares with the representative. This duty of confidentiality also applies to the local trade union, which means that information is not shared between the club and AMO unless consent is given.
